Young Musicians Chamber Music is a program in Orange County, CA created for devoted student musicians who wish to enrich his/hers music experience by playing with others in a professional setting. Currently, we have rehearsal locations in Yorba Linda, Walnut, Diamond Bar, Pomona, Fullerton, and Chino Hills.

• This is a four months, audition based program. The chamber group’s goal is to present a high level recital at the end of the program. Participants will earn a certificate of achievement and a DVD of the recital to enhance their resume.
• Each chamber group consists of 3-7 members that meet once a week.

Audition

• Applicants must have at least 3 years experience of individual lessons and able to perform intermediate-advance solo repertoire.
• Audition materials: Applicants will be asked to play two solo pieces of contrasting styles and to sight-read a short piece. Please note that no accompanist is necessary for the audition.
• Audition is an on-going process, by appointment.
• Fee: $35 non-refundable audition fee. Checks should be made payable and sent with application to:

Scholarship

• Scholarships are available for gifted applicants with financial need.
• Applicant must present a letter of recommendation from his/hers instrument’s instructor.

Rehearsals

• Members are expected to attend and to be prepared for each rehearsal.
• Students will be assigned to a rehearsal location that is close to him/her. Currently, we have rehearsal locations in Yorba Linda, Walnut, Diamond Bar, Pomona, Fullerton, and Chino Hills.
• Tuition: $160/month includes all necessary recital expenses, 4 recital tickets, and a DVD of the recital. Members will purchase their own music.
